In 2005, Helen Ayer Patton founded the Patton Stiftung (aka. The Patton Foundation Sustainable Trust) in Germany with the mission of continuing to foster the peace that her grandfather, General George S. Patton Jr., helped to establish for Europe in 1945.
The Stiftung (Trust) is focused on supporting multicultural projects in various fields of interest:
- Visual and Performing Arts (concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, film projects, etc.)
- Sustainability (environmental protection and urban gardening projects across Europe)
- Innovative workshops and seminars in the Humanities
- Support for Veterans of different nationalities
